One of the days we will be in Tokyo (Day 3) Shakti will take on the subway to Nippori where the feature will be shopping for dressmaking materials for costumes and daywear. Sue is very keen to get some good materials as it is a struggle to get good material in Adelaide.
So from Asakusa we will take the subway to Nippori
Hey Gerry! How exciting that you went to Japan to Nippori, how awesome was it! I havent bought anything online from Fabric Tomato. I used to get my mother in-law or friend who lives in Japan to get anything that I needed. However the shipping back to Australia wasn't really worth it in the end. I haven't really found anything online that has been worth buying either because I think sometimes its better to feel the fabric before you buy it. The best online shop in Australia is probably Tessuti fabrics but a higher end type fabric. If you know what you want fabric.com isnt too bad my mum has used that a few times for her baby materials.
ReplyDeleteHope that helped I will be super excited if Fabric Tomato ships overseas and also does a proper English website. You might just need to plan another trip back!! hehe!
Sue is reluctant to buy over the internet without having a sample to feel, also. We will go back soon :)
DeleteHi , Sue is reluctant to buy material over the internet because she also likes to get the feel of it. Looks like we will have to go back to Tomato in Japan sooner rather than later :)
